Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. He is also the smallest one. He surrounds the Sun in just 88 days. His orbit is so close to the Sun Mercury is only visible at the sky just before sunrise and close after sunset.

Sun's gravity distracted the outer spheres from Mercury, so there is no atmosphere at all, and no visible geological activity. Mercury has a large iron core, constisting of 70% Metal and 30% Silicate.

Mercury has no Moons. Temperature on Mercury ranges from 90°K on the poles to 700°K at the surface pointing to the Sun.

Mercury was the messenger god of the Romans.
